Document Control Specialist - Rail and Transit

Senior Document Control SpecialistDo you excel at document control and have experience supporting large scale, complex construction projects and/or engineering teams? Parsons is seeking a local Senior Document Control Specialist to support our portfolio of projects.Duties and Responsibilities:Support capital and non-capital rail-transit projects by applying appropriate and proper electronic document archiving proceduresDevelop and maintain projects filesFollow the file naming conventionAssist and consultant staff in retrieving needed documents from electronic file archivesPerform quality control checks to ensure that digital files are Complete, Legible, Oriented correctly, Named consistently with the file naming convention, and Archived consistently with the file directory structure conventionScan hard copy historical documents into a digital format and save the scanned documents in the appropriate digital folder, in accordance with the digital file structure provided by the clientTake the lead on maintaining all record as-built drawings, design drawings, standard drawings, as-is drawings, and contract close out documents in accordance with the policies and procedures set forthCoordinate with the project team, contractors, consultants, and Information Technology (IT) department to support the project close out process and assist with document onboarding from the Project Management Software System (PMSS) to the final repositoryPerform additional assignments as directedEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree preferred10+ years of related work experience with at least 8+ years in document controlsExperience working with documents, hard copy and digital, and file managementHigh level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong organizational skillsExperience performing quality control checksAbility to clearly and professionally communicate both verbally and writtenAbility to follow directions after receiving the project orientation criteria and work flow instructionsAttention to detailExperience working with secure contract documents, reports, and plans for infrastructure that may be classified as sensitive information is preferredExperience working with SharePoint is preferredSecurity Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
