Location West Nyack, New York Department Rockland Neurological Associates Work Shift Day Work Days MON-FRI Scheduled Hours 8:30 PM-5 AM Daily Hours 8 HOURS Weekly Hours 40 Hours Hourly Rate Starting at $31.00 (subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors) Job Summary The LPN is responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to patients at the practice. Within the scope of practice, the LPN assumes responsibility, as necessary, for assessment, treatment and care of patients. The LPN displays an understanding of the developmental needs of the patient when planning and implementing treatment, competency in obtaining information, familiarity with medications, and processing of refill prescriptions. The LPN works closely with the Physician and other members of the clinical team. Phlebotomy and/or injections may be performed, and patient callbacks with lab test results and diagnosis are managed. The LPN is responsible for documenting information accurately within the EMR system. Essential Functions Systematically provides nursing care to patients within the framework of the nursing process and established standards of practice. Integrates principles of patient safety in the provision of direct nursing care and medication management. Adheres to established system-wide communication standards and processes. Participates in designated forums addressing patient care, patient education, policy and procedures, safety and clinical outcomes. Demonstrates accountability for maintaining and improving professional knowledge and skill related to the area of practice. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in Nursing. 1–3 years of work experience as an LPN in a hospital setting or medical office (preferred). Licensed Practical Nurse, New York State Board of Nursing (required). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
