Tool and Die Maker

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of gages, jigs, fixtures, dies, and molds. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of metallurgy and machining techniques with the ability to interpret complex blueprints to produce high-precision components that meet strict quality standards.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication & Assembly: Construct, fit, and assemble parts to make and repair dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and special hand tools.

• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to plan the layout and sequence of operations.

• Machining Operations: Set up and operate a variety of conventional and CNC machine tools (such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines) to shape parts to exact specifications.

• Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing production tools and dies during production runs to minimize downtime.

• Quality Inspection: Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, vernier calipers, and optical comparators) to verify dimensional accuracy and ensure tolerances are met.

• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to modify tool designs or recommend changes that improve manufacturing efficiency and part quality.

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 70lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
