Lead the Financial Operations of a Growing Company A-American Electric is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting team and provide financial visibility that drives smart business decisions. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coaching and developing people, and values teamwork and accountability. The role oversees all company financial operations and supervises a small accounting team. What You'll Do Lead all accounting and financial functions, including AP, AR, payroll, billing, general ledger, cash management, and financial reporting. Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements and analysis. Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow. Coordinate annual reviews with external CPA firms and oversee tax filings. Supervise and develop a small accounting team. Partner with company leadership to support growth and strategic decision-making. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 6+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience. Proven leadership experience working with small to mid-sized teams. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and internal controls. High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize, adapt, and perform in a fast-paced environment. Construction industry experience preferred. CPA is a plus but not required.
