Heartline Staffing is seeking a compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for an exceptional school-based outpatient opportunity in Floyd, Virginia. This provider will practice independently with support from a Medical Director while delivering high-quality acute outpatient care within a school-based setting. The position focuses on evaluating, diagnosing, and treating common illnesses and injuries while performing minor office procedures, including suturing. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner who enjoys autonomy, community medicine, and caring for pediatric and adolescent populations.

Key responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries, providing direct outpatient care to students and school personnel, performing minor office procedures including suturing, practicing independently with Medical Director support, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, coordinating care with school staff and healthcare providers, and delivering compassionate evidence-based patient care.

Compensation is $54-$68 per hour based on experience. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM, with no evenings, weekends, or call responsibilities.

Requirements include board certified family nurse practitioner, active Virginia family nurse practitioner license, active DEA registration, ability to practice independently, experience caring for pediatric & adolescent patients, experience performing minor procedures including suturing, strong clinical assessment skills, and excellent communication skills. Community-based care experience and school-based or primary care experience are preferred.
