Data Engineer

Mobilisights, a Data‑as‑a‑Service unit of Stellantis, harnesses sensor data from millions of connected vehicles to develop data products and services for customers. Position Responsibilities Design and build a best‑in‑class robust scalable data platform that can ingest, store, manage and stream massive amounts of data while simplifying its analysis and processing to enable rapid development of high‑quality data products and services. Contribute to the implementation of a best‑in‑class robust, scalable data platform that can ingest, store, manage and stream massive amounts of data while simplifying its analysis and processing to enable rapid development of high‑quality data products and services. Contribute to the implementation of robust low latency streaming data pipelines using state‑of‑the‑art streaming data technologies for preparing/curating data that will support various data‑as‑a‑service products. Participate with the team in the development of operational excellence such as ensuring error handling, restart‑ability, data consistency, logging, monitoring and alerting is built into the pipeline. Provide on‑call support for the platform and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of experience in development and operation of production cloud‑native data streaming systems (with an emphasis on scalability, robustness, low‑latency delivery, and data privacy and quality control). First experience working in cloud‑native real‑time streaming ecosystems such as Spark, Flink, Kinesis, Lambda, Kafka, EMR/EKS, or Lakehouse platforms; experience with Databricks Intelligent Platform is a plus. First experience developing and optimizing AWS data system architecture: infrastructure as code, integration and deployment automation, and security. First experience ensuring operational reliability of cloud‑native data systems in production—particularly deploying and monitoring AWS infrastructure using MSK, EKS/EMR clusters in production. First product development experience with languages such as Spark‑Scala, Py‑Spark, or Java is a plus. Experience in relational database concepts with solid knowledge of SQL is a plus. Experience building systems that monitor data losses and enforce data quality control. Curiosity and passion to learn with a strong bias to action.
