Location Highlights

East Chicago, Indiana offers direct access to Lake Michigan and quick regional travel options. Jeorse Park Beach and East Chicago Marina provide local waterfront access, while Indiana Dunes National Park is about 30 to 40 minutes away with 15 miles of shoreline and hiking trails. Downtown Chicago is about 21 road miles away with a typical drive of around 31 minutes, and Navy Pier can be reached in about 38 minutes for dining, entertainment, and lakefront views. Marktown Historic District is a noted early-1900s planned industrial neighborhood in East Chicago, and Michigan City is about 50 minutes away for another Lake Michigan day trip.
