Director, Medical Staff Services - Full Time Days

Lead Medical Staff Operations & Governance At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, strong physician alignment and medical staff governance are critical to delivering high-quality care. We’re seeking an experienced Director, Medical Staff Services to lead and manage all aspects of medical staff operations, credentialing, and compliance while serving as a key liaison between hospital leadership and the Organized Medical Staff. What You’ll Do Direct all Medical Staff Services operations, including credentialing, privileging, and reappointment processes Oversee Medical Staff committees, including scheduling, agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions Serve as the primary liaison between Hospital Administration and Medical Staff Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (Joint Commission, DHS, HIPAA) Develop and maintain medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and privileging criteria Lead and manage the medical staff proctoring program Maintain the annual Medical Staff meeting calendar and coordinate activities Oversee departmental operations including supplies, work orders, and staff records What You Bring Strong knowledge of medical staff services, credentialing, and regulatory standards Experience working with Joint Commission, DHS, and HIPAA requirements Knowledge of medical terminology and physician relations Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and physician database systems Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred CPMSM certification required within 12 months of hire Ability to type 65 WPM Why VPH Mission-driven healthcare organization High-visibility leadership role working closely with physicians and executives Opportunity to shape medical staff operations and governance Collaborative and professional environment Apply today to lead and strengthen Medical Staff Services at VPH.
