Shamin Hotels is looking for a dependable, hands-on HVAC Technician Helper to join our engineering team and help keep our hotel properties comfortable, safe, and running smoothly.This is a hands-on, entry-level role where you'll work side-by-side with experienced technicians, hotel engineering teams, and outside vendors — learning the trade while making a real, visible difference for our guests and properties. If you're mechanically inclined, eager to grow, and want a real path into a skilled trade, we'd love to talk.What You'll DoAssist HVAC technicians with inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipmentHandle preventive maintenance — changing filters, cleaning coils, clearing drains, lubricating components, and checking belts and electrical connectionsHelp diagnose issues on guest-room units, PTACs, split systems, rooftop units, exhaust systems, commercial kitchen equipment, coolers, and freezersTransport tools, parts, refrigerant cylinders, and supplies to work areas, and keep mechanical rooms and workshops clean and organizedRespond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests with minimal disruption to guestsLend a hand with general building maintenance — basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and mechanical tasksKeep accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts usedSupport emergency maintenance needs and after-hours calls as assignedQualificationsWhat You Bring — Our Must-HavesPrevious hands-on experience in HVAC, facilities maintenance, or a related mechanical tradeWorking knowledge of hand and power tools, mechanical components, and basic equipment-maintenance practicesA valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (travel between properties may be required)Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and the occasional emergency calloutNice to HaveHigh school diploma or GEDEPA Section 608 certification (or willingness to obtain it within a company-designated period)Strong mechanical aptitude and a real eagerness to learn from experienced techsWhat We Offer$25.00/hour, full-time (40 hours/week)Medical, dental, and vision benefits for eligible employeesPaid time off and paid holidaysCompany-provided training and real career-development opportunitiesEmployee hotel discountsRoom to grow within a growing hotel portfolioTools, uniforms, or allowances per company policyThis is active, physical work — you'll be on your feet, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in mechanical rooms, guest rooms, kitchens, rooftops, and outdoor areas in all kinds of weather.
