Travel Physical Therapist - $2,240 per week

Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Location: Portsmouth, Ohio Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 hour days, 40 hours per week Employment Type: Travel Job ID: 1903576 Responsibilities The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. This includes: Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and history Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings Implement physical therapy treatment plans using exercise, manual therapy, and modalities Operate and maintain specialized equipment safely Assess progress, adjust plans, and document evaluations and interventions Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, and injury prevention Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control protocols Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions Perform other duties within scope of practice as assigned Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Doctorate degree in physical therapy (preferred) Experience in Physical Therapy (new graduates welcome) Other certifications or licenses may be required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and effective interpersonal communication. Proficiency in English language reading, writing, and speaking; ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Computer literacy and basic PC skills. Physical abilities: stationary or mobile positions, maneuvering equipment up to 100 lbs, push/pull, bend.
