Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Inpatient Rehab position requiring a CA PT License and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Hospital setting with focus on acute care, inpatient rehab (ARU), and outpatient rehab
• Ability to float between inpatient, ARU, and outpatient units as needed
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Schedule includes Friday through Tuesday
• Epic experience preferred for charting

Requirements

• CA Physical Therapist License required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
• Experience in acute care, outpatient clinic, pediatrics, and rehabilitation hospital settings preferred
• Hand Therapy, Lymphedema, Manual Therapy, PTA, Wound Care, and Dry Needling certifications preferred
• Experience with a wide range of patient populations including orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, pediatric, and geriatric conditions preferred
• Proficiency with therapeutic modalities such as E-stim, Ultrasound, TENS, and traction preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized rehabilitative treatment programs
• Completes patient evaluations, develops and updates Plans of Care, and documents treatment progress
• Coordinates care effectively with interdisciplinary team members
• Provides clinical supervision to PT assistants and aides
• Serves as clinical instructor for assigned students
• Maintains a clean, safe working environment and properly disinfects equipment after use
• Participates in quality improvement and interdisciplinary initiatives
• Maintains strict confidentiality of patient health information in compliance with regulations
• Accepts local candidates at the local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO is 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
