VibrantCare Rehab is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in Hand Therapy to join our team in Fairfield, CA. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for patient evaluation, treatment planning, ongoing care, re-evaluation, discharge, and communication with patients, physicians, facilities, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy and hand therapy plans of care.
• Provide skilled treatment for patients requiring occupational/hand therapy services.
• Establish appropriate treatment goals, frequency, and duration in collaboration with referring physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment programs as needed.
• Perform task analysis and provide job modification and energy-conservation recommendations when appropriate.
• Custom fabricate splints and casts for a variety of complex diagnoses.
• Supervise and provide direction to assistants and aides as permitted by state regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely evaluations, progress notes, and other required documentation.
• Communicate patient information with physicians, staff, employers, insurance carriers, and rehabilitation specialists.
• Participate in patient education, home programs, community presentations, and clinical in-services.
• Participate in student clinical education programs when applicable.
• Assist with quality assurance activities and center operations.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, AOTA standards, state regulations, Medicare requirements, and safety procedures.
• May require occasional travel.

Qualifications

Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy program or qualifying approved program.

• Current state Occupational Therapist license/registration as required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Current TB test required and maintained according to state guidelines.
• Qualified education, training, and competency for Hand Therapy and advanced practices as required by California regulations.
• Strong clinical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Leadership skills to supervise and support assistants and aides.
• Strong computer and documentation skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $85,000–$95,000/year

Part-Time/Per Diem: Employees working fewer than 32 hours/week are eligible for 401(k) with employer matching and accrued PTO based on company policy.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and assist patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently .
• Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to push wheeled equipment.
• Sufficient visual, hearing, and fine motor abilities to perform clinical and documentation duties.
