Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A hospital inpatient pharmacy opportunity is available for an experienced Staff Pharmacist with a strong background in acute care settings. This role requires expertise in medication order verification, preparation, and clinical monitoring to support comprehensive patient care within inpatient units.

Location:

• Nelsonville, OH

Schedule:

• 40 hours/week
• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• On-call duties following some shifts
• Occasional Saturdays from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Duration:

• Contract position, minimum 8 weeks
• Must be available to start on October 12, 2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and review medication orders for accuracy, safety, dosage, allergies, interactions, and contraindications
• Enter and manage medication orders using the EPIC system
• Prepare and dispense medications, including IV and sterile compounding when required
• Monitor high-risk medications such as IVs, antibiotics, TPN, and PCA therapies
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy
• Participate in medication reconciliation to ensure accurate patient medication histories
• Check and maintain automated dispensing cabinets (e.g., Pyxis)
• Provide clinical pharmacy services including antibiotic stewardship and anticoagulation monitoring
• Assist and supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and pharmacy operations

Qualifications:

• Ohio Pharmacist licensure (required)
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience essential
• Proficient with EPIC order entry system
• Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy workflows and high-risk medication management
