Associate Software Engineer In Test

The Role We are hiring Associate Software Engineers in Test to work at Veeva, focusing on quality assurance and release engineering for products in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices. As part of the Quality Assurance and Release Engineering team, you will be responsible for functional and automated testing of cloud‑based applications, ensuring customer success with every release. What You'll Do Apply your programming skills to automate and optimize the testing of cloud-based applications Contribute to the automation test framework and automation architecture Create and improve testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases, and automation scripts Conduct QA tests and verify outcomes Collaborate to build a state‑of‑the‑art automation framework and cloud‑based test infrastructure that operates at scale with 24/7 availability Diagnose, debug, and fix issues in a cloud‑based automation environment Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field Knowledge of Java and object‑oriented methodologies Curious to learn and adapt to a fast‑paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher Nice to Have Knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress Experience with version control systems (Git) Basic understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI Awareness of containerization tools such as Docker or AWS cloud platforms Experience using AI‑assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or Claude for test automation development, debugging, and feature testing Perks & Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance PTO and company‑paid holidays Retirement programs 1% charitable giving program Compensation Base pay: $75,000 – $95,000 CAD Compensation may vary based on experience and location and may include variable bonus or stock bonus.
