About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Machinist to support machining operations in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong hands-on experience with CNC setup, a solid understanding of machining processes, and the ability to support efficient, high-quality production. You will play a key role in preparing machines for production, ensuring quality standards are met, and working closely with the shop floor team to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for production runs
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
• Perform tooling selection, offsets, and machine adjustments
• Troubleshoot machining issues and assist with process improvements
• Ensure parts meet quality standards and required tolerances
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect finished components
• Collaborate with machinists and team members to maintain efficient workflow
• Assist with general shop support and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform basic welding as needed for fixtures, repairs, or fabrication support
• Support tool and die maintenance, repair, and setup activities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Trade or Technical School preferred
• 3+ years of experience in CNC setup and operation (mills and/or lathes)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong math skills and experience with precision measuring tools
• Experience with welding (MIG, TIG, or similar) preferred
• Exposure to tool and die work is a strong plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs
• Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
