Each nurse cares for 1-2 patients while delivering holistic primary care nursing to both the patients and families.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Performs continuous monitoring of cardiac rhythms from a centralized telemetry department.Skillfully recognizes and interprets cardiac rhythms.Completes measurement and documentation per policy and department standards.Effectively communicates with members of the care team regarding the rhythm interpretation.Provides customer service including responding to frequent and potentially complex questions from internal and external customers in a timely, positive, and professional manner.Assists in supporting daily department workflow through effective coordination, communication, and prioritization of department activities.Collaborates with biomedical and information services to maintain and troubleshoot electronic monitoring equipment.Performs daily inventory and cleaning of telemetry monitoring boxes.QUALIFICATIONS:High School diploma or GED preferredMust be 18 years of agePHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistanceJob classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job dutiesWORK ENVIRONMENT:Climate controlled office settingInteraction with department members and other healthcare providersFrequent sitting with movement throughout office space • Use of computers throughout the work dayFrequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and fingersPosition requires compliance with department specific competencies.Scheduled Weekly Hours:36Scheduled FTE:0.9Location:ThedaCare Regional Medical Center - Appleton - Appleton,WisconsinOvertime Exempt:NoWorker Shift Details:Nights
