Duration: 13 weeks | 40 hours/week
Pay Local: $45 - $55/hr
Pay Travel: $2000 - $2500 Gross weekly

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support perioperative services at a hospital in Redwood City, CA. The Surgical Technologist will assist the surgical team before, during, and after procedures while maintaining a safe and sterile operating-room environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures.
Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operative procedures.
Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment to the surgical team as needed.
Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and other supplies.
Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures.
Ensure surgical equipment and supplies are available and properly functioning.
Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety protocols.
Assist with specimen handling and labeling according to facility procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile surgical environment.

Required Qualifications

Recent experience as a Surgical Technologist / Surgical Tech in an acute-care hospital or operating-room setting.
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative procedures.
Ability to work effectively with surgeons, RNs, anesthesia staff, and other OR personnel.
BLS required.
California-required credential/license eligibility must be verified.
National certification such as NBSTSA/NCCT may be accepted depending on facility requirements.
