Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend coverage. Patient ratio of 1:2. Orientation includes 48 hours of onboarding support.

Highlights:

• Specialized care for post-sternotomy patients including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair, aortic dissection, and complex vascular cases
• Experience with advanced cardiac devices including CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, Centrimag, VAD, and PA catheters
• 12-bed unit with daily census of approximately 10 patients and consistent 1:2 staffing ratios across all shifts
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• Epic EMR system with 1 year of Epic experience required
• Green scrubs provided; flu vaccination required

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Nursing required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required
• Active RN license in good standing
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility or meet specific distance requirements
• Competency in advanced cardiovascular nursing skills including ventilator management, cardiac drip titration, arterial line management, post-cardiac surgery care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
