About This Position HealthPark Care & Rehabilitation Center is a nationally recognized 112-bed skilled nursing facility. As a Physical Therapist, you’ll work alongside a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to help patients regain independence after surgeries, strokes, joint replacements, cardiac or pulmonary conditions, and other complex medical events. With therapy offered seven days a week in spacious, well-equipped rehab gyms, and a strong focus on individualized goals and smooth transitions home, HealthPark provides an award-winning environment where you can make a meaningful impact on patients lives. A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Lee Health provides occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of the occupational therapist. The COTA implements selected components of patient/client interventions and obtain data related to that intervention; make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the Occupational Therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort; educate and interact Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistant students, technicians, volunteers, patients/clients families, caregivers; and respond to patient/client and environmental emergency situations. The COTA will be expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner. What This Position Requires Educational Requirements Required: Associate’s in accredited COTA program. Eligible Lee Health Candidates are required to graduate from an accredited program. The accepted accrediting body required for Lee Health's Rehabilitation Professionals is the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
