Our client is seeking Mechanical Assemblers to support the build of large equipment and precision sub‑assemblies. This is a hands‑on, shop‑floor role requiring strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint interpretation, and experience working with large components.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Modify or adjust components when machining or fit adjustments are required.
• Assemble large machinery and sub‑assemblies with precise fit‑up and alignment.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, including GD&T symbols and tolerances.
• Document assembly steps and communicate progress using basic computer tools.
• Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators) to verify tolerances.
• Safely move, lift, and position large components using approved methods and equipment.
• Operate basic machining equipment (milling machines, lathes) to refine or prepare parts for assembly.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement tools.
• 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience with large industrial machinery, heavy equipment, or similar mechanical systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with rigging or safe handling of large components.
• Experience operating mills, lathes, or other machine‑tool equipment.
• Vocational training, trade school, or military mechanical background.

Work Environment:

• Fully onsite in a manufacturing shop environment.
• Requires adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Involves working with large, heavy components and industrial machinery.
