Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience: Preferred - Community Client Experience: Preferred - Travel Experience: Required Description: The position requires working from 11 am to 9 pm. The schedule includes a total of 40 hours plus call. The unit accepts first-time travelers. The staffing and scheduling expectations are flexible, with required on-call hours. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census averages around 50 patients. The operating room includes 19 rooms equipped for various procedures. Special procedures may include breast/plastics, GYN, eyes, general, neuro/spine, ortho, pulmonary, and urology. The operating room is equipped with advanced technology, including a Stealth system, O-arm, ION, Hana table, and DV5 robot. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services, among others. Travelers are expected to float to similar units as needed based on facility requirements. Travelers will receive a brief orientation specific to the unit.
