This is an exciting opportunity for a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) with experience or strong interest in minimally invasive and image-guided radiologic procedures to become part of a high-performing, patient-centered practice.Our Radiology department is recognized for delivering high-quality diagnostic and interventional services with a strong commitment to teamwork, mutual respect, innovation, and compassionate care. In this role, you will work closely with experienced radiologists and multidisciplinary clinical teams to support efficient, safe, and exceptional patient care.Responsibilities:Role SummaryAs a Radiology APP, you will play a vital role in performing and supporting a wide range of image-guided procedures, providing comprehensive pre- and post-procedural care, and supporting departmental workflow and care coordination initiatives.Core Clinical ResponsibilitiesPerform and support image-guided procedures, including:ThoracentesisParacentesisJoint injections and aspirationsLumbar puncturesFluoroscopy procedures (e.g., barium swallow, upper GI series)Conduct pre- and post-procedure assessmentsEducate patients and families regarding procedures, risks, recovery, and follow-up careCollaborate closely with radiologists, nursing staff, and referring providersDocument clinical encounters accurately and maintain thorough medical recordsParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetingsQualifications:Additional Clinical and Procedural Scope(As appropriate, based on privileging, experience, and program needs)Central line and PICC line placementImage-guided biopsies (e.g., superficial and soft tissue)Drain management (placement follow-ups, exchanges, troubleshooting)Tube management (e.g., G-tubes, nephrostomy tubes)Operational & Workflow SupportAssist with procedure triage and prioritization to improve department throughputSupport inpatient and outpatient consult management, including IR consults as applicableHelp optimize scheduling efficiency and patient flow within the Radiology departmentCare CoordinationFacilitate coordination between Radiology, nursing, and referring providersSupport discharge planning and post-procedure care pathwaysEnsure timely procedures, follow-up, and continuity of careSchedule & Work EnvironmentMonday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PMNo weekendsMinimal call requirementsQualificationsCurrent licensure as an FNP, NP, or PA in the state of GeorgiaCertification by an accredited national board (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA, or equivalent)Prior Radiology or interventional procedure experience preferredStrong clinical judgment and procedural competenceExcellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated commitment to compassionate, respectful, and team-based careBusiness Unit : Company Name: Piedmont Medical Care Corporation
