Maintenance TechnicianFull Time | Day ShiftPay: $20 - $22/hour PLUS paid mileage between facilities!(based on experience)Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for LSS Affordable Senior Housing to split time between two senior living facilities in Columbus.; Little Brook Place - 5911 Little Brook Way and North Community Place - 120 Morse Rd.The ideal candidate will share Our Mission: Creating a better world by serving people in need.About Lutheran Social Services:We put our mission of service into action. LSS offers food pantries, housing and supportive services through homeless shelters, domestic violence services, health care, affordable housing communities, and other services that uplift families and strengthen communities.Benefits for Full-time positions* with Lutheran Social Services include:Health insurance with 4-plan options!Tuition Reimbursement Program403(b) retirement plan with employer matched savingsDental and Vision insuranceMedical and Childcare Flexible Spending (FSA)Health Savings AccountPTO and 12 Paid HolidaysDiscount MarketplaceOpportunity to make a positive impact on individuals & the community*some part-time positions may be eligible for some benefits as wellResponsibilities for a Maintenance Technician:Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and facility systems.Complete basic carpentry, painting, flooring, and custodial tasks as needed.Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure all equipment and utility rooms are clean and organized.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventories, work orders, and inspections.Respond to and prioritize maintenance requests, communicating with residents and the community manager.Perform regular property inspections and seasonal tasks such as snow removal and grounds keeping.Support compliance with HUD, OSHA, and LSS safety standards, including participation in inspections.Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.Assist in unit turnover and reconditioning for new residents.Requirements for a Maintenance Technician:High School Diploma or GED required.3-5 years' experience in building maintenance or related field. Valid Ohio driver's license, access to reliable insured transportation and ability to meet LSS insurance standards.As one of the largest non-for-profits in Central Ohio, we value our employees.
