Software Architect

We are seeking a highly collaborative and forward-thinking Software Architect to help shape the technical future of enterprise software systems and integrations. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who is passionate about modernization, emerging technologies, and driving innovation at scale.

You will play a key role in defining architecture strategy, guiding development teams, and ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term business objectives. This position goes beyond coding—focusing on architectural vision, governance, and continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Provide architectural guidance across active projects and initiatives
• Lead solution design discussions and define integration strategies
• Establish and enforce architecture frameworks, standards, and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy

System Design & Development Standards

• Design scalable and maintainable solutions using modern architecture principles
• Oversee code quality through reviews, analysis tools, and refactoring efforts
• Ensure adherence to secure coding practices, SDLC standards, and compliance requirements

Technology Strategy & Innovation

• Develop and maintain enterprise technology roadmaps
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (AI, ML, automation, cloud-native solutions)
• Drive digital transformation and modernization initiatives

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and guide development teams on architecture and design best practices
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Partner with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals

Operational Excellence

• Support development teams in solving complex technical challenges
• Maintain architectural documentation and ensure standards compliance
• Balance multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

• Define architectural vision, integration strategies, and lifecycle governance
• Provide cost-benefit analysis for design decisions and present multiple solution options
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications
• Promote best practices in Agile development, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
• Support application security, risk mitigation, and data integrity standards

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of application development experience with:
  • C# / .NET Core
  • Software Development best practices
• 4+ years of architecture and system design experience
• Strong expertise in:
  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Design patterns and architectural principles
  • API development and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Cloud computing and enterprise application frameworks
• Experience with AI / Machine Learning technologies and integration
• Strong background in:
  • Database design, optimization, and data architecture
  • Application security and secure coding standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
  • DevOps practices
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Agile development methodologies
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Familiarity with:
  • Cloud-native architecture and migration strategies
  • Data warehousing and advanced data solutions
  • Emerging technologies such as AI, automation, or blockchain

This is a Permanent position based out of Topeka, KS.

The pay range for this position is $127845.00 - $170000.00/yr.

They have great benefits (can be shared upon request). Their PTO starts accruing 15 days of vacation per year, 10 days of sick, 1 personal day, 11 paid holidays and 1 volunteer day. They assist with student loan reimbursement starting on Day 1 at $100/month, going all the way up to $200/month for 5+ years.

This is a hybrid position in Topeka,KS.

This position is anticipated to close on Jun 30, 2026.
