Job Title: General Construction / Warehouse Laborer Job Description

This role supports daily operations in an industrial warehouse environment by maintaining cleanliness throughout the plant and performing a wide range of general labor tasks. You will help keep the facility safe and organized, assist with inventory activities, and handle materials and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.

• Perform general plant clean-up to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Assist with inventory counting and basic material tracking to support accurate stock control.
• Load and unload trucks manually and with forklift assistance, following proper safety procedures.
• Move and handle barrels and other industrial materials safely throughout the facility.
• Support various general labor tasks as assigned by supervisors, including production, packaging, cleaning, and painting.
• Follow all company safety procedures, guidelines, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times.
• Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with coworkers and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
• Manage time and tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities as needed.

• Ability to perform manual labor in a fast-paced industrial or warehouse setting.
• Capability to handle physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions within a non-climate-controlled facility.
• Strong work ethic and reliability, with consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Attention to cleanliness and organization in work areas.
• Basic inventory and counting skills to support material tracking.
• Safe material handling skills, especially when working with barrels and industrial materials.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and PPE requirements consistently.
• Teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with others.
• Time management and task prioritization skills to meet operational needs.
• Steel-toe boots, as required for the role.

• Forklift experience (preferred but not required).
• Willingness to learn forklift operation if not already experienced.
• Experience in general labor, production, packaging, cleaning, or painting is beneficial.
• Comfort working in a warehouse and industrial environment.
• No certifications or medical tests are required for this role.

You will handle barrels and other industrial materials and may work around forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Steel-toe boots are required as part of the dress code, and you must consistently use appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
