Make an impact in education by supporting students as a Paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment near Pawtucket, RI. This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated individuals passionate about fostering student growth and providing hands-on guidance in the classroom.
Key Requirements:
- Experience as a Paraprofessional or Teacher Assistant in a school setting
- Ability to support teachers in managing classrooms and delivering instruction
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to working onsite, supporting students throughout the school day
- Reliability and flexibility in meeting the diverse needs of the classroom
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certification a plus)
- Passion for working with children and helping them achieve their best
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and assistance to students under the guidance of a classroom teacher
- Help implement lesson plans, educational activities, and individualized learning plans
- Supervise students in various settings including classrooms, playgrounds, and common areas
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and participation
- Assist with classroom organization, setup, and daily routines
- Support students with special needs in academic, behavioral, or physical tasks as directed
