We are a growing immigration practice looking to add a paralegal experienced in immigration law to our team. We offer an outstanding, team-oriented work environment, with opportunity for long-term growth. You will work on a range of immigration cases including removal/deportation defense, appeals, federal court litigation, family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, waivers, asylum, and naturalization. We are looking for someone who demonstrates strong initiative, ability to handle a diverse caseload, excellent writing and communication skills, superb attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with clients, performing intakes, collecting evidence and other documentation;
• Completing USCIS applications including applications for adjustment of status, cancellation of removal, asylum, waivers, and employment-based visas;
• Providing clients with case updates;
• Assisting our attorneys with file organization, case preparation including but not limited to, submissions to USCIS, U.S. Department of State, and Immigration Court;
• Corresponding with various government and law enforcement agencies; and
• Drafting affidavits, personal statements, written pleadings, evidence submissions, and motions for attorney review.

Qualifications

• High school diploma;
• 5+ years experience working as a paralegal in a law firm or not-for-profit handling immigration matters;
• Strong administrative, organizational, communication, and writing skills;
• Experience using Microsoft Office/Google Office suite;
• Able to take initiative and be comfortable asking questions when necessary to complete tasks;
• Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish;
• Must be punctual, responsible, and reliable; and
• Open to taking on new responsibilities and challenging tasks.

This is not a remote position.

We offer a starting salary from $24.00 to $30.00 an hour depending upon experience. We also offer competitive benefits.
