Job Purpose We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Summer Intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in Carrollton, TX. As a Summer Intern in Manufacturing Engineering, you will have the opportunity to elevate your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and challenging environment. You will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing processes for our cutting‑edge electronics products and contributing to continuous improvement efforts to boost the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in the design and implementation of new manufacturing processes. Assist with the development and maintenance of manufacturing process documentation. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to boost the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations. Conduct data analysis and develop recommendations for process improvement. Participate in cross‑functional projects and provide support as needed. Perform engineering change processes as necessary to support existing products. Test prototypes and standard products and write reports to document the results. Categorize a wide arrangement of existing parts. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co‑workers, and management. Qualifications Currently in year 1 or 2 of a 4‑year degree program in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related Engineering field. Strong technical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to follow oral and written guidelines. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Organized and detail oriented. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent computer skills including MS Office and Google Suite. Strong commitment to respect, integrity, and accountability. Willingness to learn, take initiative, and offer improvement ideas. Physical Demands Work is performed in an office and a manufacturing environment. Required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, bend; talk and hear in person; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers; repetitive motion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
