Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location: Seaside, OR 97138
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Shift: 3x12-Hour Shifts

• Days: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Nights: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Compensation

• Pay Range: $1,800 – $2,300 Weekly (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

A healthcare facility in Oregon is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care services across multiple patient care settings, including ICU, Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical, and Swing Bed units. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care skills, ventilator management experience, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope respiratory therapy services to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations as applicable.
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators, including Draeger and Hamilton systems.
• Perform respiratory treatments, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, airway management, and patient assessments.
• Respond promptly and effectively to respiratory emergencies and critical patient situations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and modify care plans as appropriate.
• Perform diagnostic respiratory procedures and collect relevant clinical data.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, respiratory care standards, and patient safety regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities.
• Function independently as the sole Respiratory Therapist on assigned shifts when required.

Required QualificationsEducation

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Licensure & Certifications

• Current Oregon Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) License – Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification – Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification – Required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification – Required

Experience & Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience required.
• Strong experience managing mechanical ventilators, including Draeger and Hamilton systems.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
• Experience in ICU, Emergency Department, and Medical-Surgical settings preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR documentation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
