This role ensures software quality by validating functionality, performance, and reliability across applications, APIs, and downstream systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform software validation and quality assurance activities, including automation, integration, regression, interface, and system testingDevelop, execute, and maintain automated test cases and scripts aligned with functional and technical requirementsTranslate business and technical requirements into effective test scenarios and test casesSupport User Acceptance Testing (UAT) through scenario-based and integrated testingPrepare test plans, test calendars, test data, and related test documentationExecute test cases, analyze results, and document defects clearly and accuratelyCollaborate with development teams to troubleshoot, track, and resolve defectsPerform API and microservices testing using industry-standard toolsConduct performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, BlazeMeter, or equivalentValidate system performance through profiling, monitoring, and baseline analysisConduct peer reviews of test plans, test cases, and execution resultsWork with cross-functional teams to validate requirements and resolve issuesSupport flexible testing schedules, including off-hours, weekends, or holidays as neededRequirementsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of IT experience working with test automation frameworks in Java-based or JavaScript-based technology stacksAt least 2 years of experience creating automated test scripts for microservices and APIs using Newman or equivalent toolsAt least 2 years of experience developing BDD (Behavior Driven Development) test automation using Cucumber or similar frameworksExperience prioritizing and tagging application features for smoke, regression, and load testingExperience designing and enhancing automated functional testing frameworks and generating coverage reportsProficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and TypeScriptHands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, or equivalentExperience using Sauce Labs or similar cloud-based testing platformsPreferred Qualifications5+ years of experience testing Java or web-based applicationsHands-on experience developing automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver, QTP, Python, or similar toolsExperience testing RESTful services and integrating automated testing with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git)Strong understanding of database concepts with hands-on SQL query experienceExperience testing across multiple browsers, backend services, and data validation layersKnowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptExperience with backend database testing using PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platformsExperience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) testing, scenario scripting, and validationExperience with mobile testing, system testing, data migration, data integrity, and transformation testingFamiliarity with Agile and iterative SDLC testing methodologies and QA best practicesJob InformationJob Opening ID ZR_93_JOB Date Opened 02/04/2026 Job Opening Status In-progress Industry Technology Project Start Date 03/02/2026 Candidate Application Submission Deadline 02/12/2026 Job Type Full time Work Experience 5+ years City College Park State/Province Maryland Country United States Zip/Postal Code 20740
