Job Description:

• The position will be responsible for safely and securely transporting passengers, including, but not limited to, the Older Adult Services Program (OASP).
• Duties include performing safety inspection checks on vehicles, providing safety instructions to passengers, and showing courtesy with safe embarkation and disembarkation of passengers at the pick-up location and destination, respectively.
• The ideal candidate must have strong customer service skills, a friendly and courteous attitude, the ability to follow instructions, and promptness in delivery.
• Safe transport: drive defensively to transport passengers to destination; route planning; schedule adherence- maintain strict timetables to ensure punctual pickups and drop-offs; weather adaptable; obey state and county driving laws, policies, and instructions.
• Boarding assistance & operate mobility equipment. Rule enforcement- ensure passengers/riders wear seatbelts and follow safety guidelines.
• Basic vehicle care & maintenance.
• Provide customer service/care-answer route questions and maintain a polite demeanor. Report incidents, maintain logkeeping- mileage, passenger counts, fuel receipts- and maintain a state-issued driver's license.

• Must possess a valid TX driver's license with a good driving record; CDL is mandatory.
