Substation Project Manager

HDR

Responsibilities Execute and manage all aspects of power delivery projects from proposal development to closeout. Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and quality controls. Apply project management tools and techniques—project life cycle, risk, earned value, communication, team coordination, change, and project closeout. Coordinate engineering teams throughout the project life cycle. Oversee non‑engineering components such as public involvement, environmental permitting, right‑of‑way acquisition, and construction management. Lead QA/QC processes to ensure world‑class quality. Provide mentorship and training to junior staff, assistants, coordinators, CAD technicians, and engineers. Represent HDR in marketing and proposal development for new opportunities. Travel may be required for project execution and business development activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field. Seven years of related experience. A minimum of two years of project management experience. Strong ability to interact with various design teams and excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills (written and verbal). Commitment to active participation in an employee‑owned culture. Preferred Qualifications PMP certification. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Experience with Earned Value Management concepts including Work Breakdown Structure, Physical Percent Complete, Earned vs Planned Value, Cost To Complete, and Estimate At Completion.
