Job Title: Manufacturing Assembly Associate – Shock Production Line

Job Description

Join a shock assembly plant that builds suspension shocks used in a wide range of recreational vehicles, including ATVs, snowmobiles, side-by-sides, and motorcycles. In this role, you work on a fast-paced production line using hand and power tools to assemble shocks by following clear written work instructions. You contribute directly to daily production goals while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble shocks on a production line by following detailed written work instructions and standard operating procedures.

• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to perform mechanical assembly tasks on shock components.

• Work at long metal table stations in close quarters with other team members to keep the assembly line running smoothly.

• Meet or exceed daily production quotas, contributing to the goal of building up to approximately 700 shocks per day during peak periods and 600 shocks per day thereafter.

• Lift and move components and finished products weighing up to 50 pounds as part of the assembly process.

• Measure, align, and fit parts accurately, using tools such as tape measures to ensure proper dimensions and fit.

• Perform small motor skills tasks such as stickering, cleaning, and handling smaller components with precision.

• Monitor your work area to maintain cleanliness and organization, supporting a safe and efficient production environment.

• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors about work status, issues, or needs to keep production on schedule.

• Work regular overtime as required to support production demands and meet customer requirements.

• Adhere to all safety guidelines related to the use of hand and power tools, equipment, and materials on the production line.

Essential Skills

• 3–6 months of previous experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or similar production environment.

• Demonstrated experience with mechanical assembly tasks in a manufacturing setting.

• Ability to work effectively on a fast-paced production or assembly line with defined daily quotas.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly during the shift.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly to understand work instructions and coordinate with the team.

• Willingness and ability to work overtime on a regular basis to support production needs.

• Comfort working in close quarters with others on a production line.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools such as hand tools, power tools, and tape measures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a production assembler, manufacturing assembler, or general laborer in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience working on an assembly line or in a high-volume production setting.

• Familiarity with mechanical assembly of components similar to shocks or other automotive or powersports parts.

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistent quality and attention to detail over the course of the shift.

• Comfort performing fine motor tasks such as stickering and cleaning small parts.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This position is based fully on-site in a shock manufacturing facility operating a production line environment. You work at long metal table stations in close proximity to other team members, using hand and power tools throughout the shift. The facility can be very hot, with fans running to help circulate air, especially due to the continuous use of power tools and high production volumes. The work is fast paced and quota-driven, with a target of building up to approximately 700 shocks per day during peak season, then about 600 shocks per day afterward, with each shock taking around 25 minutes to build. You should expect to stand for most of the shift, handle repetitive tasks, and work regular overtime as needed to meet production demands. The environment is focused on safety, productivity, and teamwork, with an informal, hands-on manufacturing atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
