Extended Job Title Registered Nurse Position Description *This is a part-time, on-call position*Employees in thisclassification perform responsible professional nursing care at aunit of the Correctional facility. Work is performed undercorrectional clinic conditions; the position requires a high degreeof contact with patients, other clinic personnel, and outsideprofessionals. Assists with exams and procedures, within the RN scope ofpractice, with all activities clearly and concisely documented inpatients’ health records. Ensures patient medications are administered following clinicaland compliance policies and procedures. Ensures activities aredocumented clearly and concisely in medication systems andpatients’ health records timely and accurately. Receives, documents, assesses, and responds to patient carerequests according to policy and standards of the department. Performs nursing rounds per department standards; any and allcomplaints are documented in patients’ health record. Oversees the clinical practice of LVNs and other clinicalpersonnel in the health facility. Grant Funded?
