Data Center Infrastructure Architect

Salary: $86,000 - 114,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• We are seeking 7+ years of experience in server infrastructure, including at least 3 years in an architecture or design capacity.
• We need experience working with colocation, hyperscale, or enterprise-grade data center providers.
• We expect deep expertise in network hardware, infrastructure design, and structured cabling.
• We value strong knowledge of server components, server configurations, and storage platforms.
• We require in-depth understanding of data center facility systems and operational standards, including power, cooling, cabling, monitoring, and day-to-day operations.
• We need working knowledge of Linux and commonly used network operating system platforms.
• We look for a demonstrated history of leading large-scale data center initiatives from planning through completion.
• We want someone who can lead cross-functional efforts and mentor junior engineers.
• We require strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• We need excellent communication and technical documentation abilities.
• We value someone who is highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• We design physical network, server, and GPU infrastructure for data center-scale environments, including rack layouts, components, cable management, power, and cooling.
• We collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to define and build deployment strategies that support business goals, scalability, redundancy, and security.
• We prepare and assess hardware BOMs to ensure alignment with design and operational requirements.
• We produce documentation, drawings, cable schedules, and technical materials for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We coordinate with facilities teams, vendors, and onsite contractors to build and commission new sites and hardware deployments.
• We verify installations and connections against approved design specifications.
• We partner with internal teams and contractors to diagnose and resolve hardware or connectivity issues.
• We work alongside project management and other stakeholders to oversee the physical infrastructure components of projects.
• We create, maintain, and improve physical infrastructure documentation.
• We support training for other technical teams on physical infrastructure practices and standards.
