Full-Time | $80,000-$150,000+ Annual Earning Potential

Precision Plumbing and Heating Systems is seeking an experienced Residential Mechanical Estimator to support our growing custom home construction division throughout Northwest Michigan. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented estimating professional with experience in plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical systems who enjoys working with builders, reviewing construction plans, developing accurate project estimates, and helping bring high-end residential projects to life.

As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for evaluating plans and specifications, preparing competitive bids, assisting with system design considerations, and serving as a trusted resource for builders and internal teams throughout the pre-construction process. • Review residential construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work
• Develop accurate plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical system estimates for custom home projects
• Prepare detailed proposals, budgets, and bid packages for builders and developers
• Analyze project requirements and identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization
• Design and evaluate ductwork layouts while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards
• Collaborate with project managers, field leaders, and operations teams during project planning
• Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors, developers, and homeowners
• Assist with project turnover and ensure a smooth transition from estimating to production
• Track project changes, revisions, and scope modifications throughout the bidding process
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within estimating and project management systems

• Experience estimating plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, or related construction systems required
• Residential new construction or custom home construction experience strongly preferred
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
• Knowledge of plumbing systems, HVAC systems, ductwork design, and residential construction practices
• Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and construction technology platforms
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-motivated professional with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

• $80,000-$150,000+ annual earning potential
