Registered Nurse

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Proficient in starting IVs and drawing labs Ability to interpret fetal strips Proficient in vaginal exams Experience as an OB circulator Description: The unit has 2 triage rooms, 10 labor rooms, and 2 operating rooms. The staffing includes 22 full-time members and additional PRN staff. Patient ratios are 1:1 or 2:1 depending on acuity levels. Equipped with fetal monitors, IUPCs, FSEs, fluid warmers, IV pumps, and epidural pumps. Electronic medical record systems in use include CPN and Meditech. Candidates must be organized, possess great time management skills, and demonstrate empathy and compassion. Typical procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, c-sections, amniocentesis, amnioinfusions, and IUPC/FSE placements. Rotating shifts include weekends with possible on-call responsibilities. Nursing staff is required to wear teal scrubs while techs wear navy scrubs.
