Central Sterile Processing Tech/Full Time-Day Shift

The OR Sterile Processing Technician provides multiple phases of processing and sterilization of a variety of patient care instruments and equipment. Assures patient care items are distributed to units and OR.Able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and written, with doctors, nurses, and fellow associates.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Must have regular attendance.
• Complete orientation and training program and continuing education in accordance with established policies and procedures, understand and follow these established policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate job knowledge and perform job duties specific to all areas of the Central Supply department.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts or adapt to sudden schedule changes in order to meet department needs.

EDUCATION:

High School Graduate or GED certificate.


JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

Basic computer knowledge. Minimum of 1 year experience in Central Supplies and/or material handling environment. Hospital Setting preferred.
