The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full-time School Resource Officer position. Applicants must possess current VADCJS law enforcement certification .  Salary commensurate with experience, and to be discussed at interview.

Applicants must:

• Possess current VADCJS law enforcement certification

• Be at least 18 years of age 

• Hold a high school diploma, GED, or higher degree (Associate degree preferred)

• Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

• Be technically skilled in applicable equipment

• Provide exemplary customer service to students, faculty, and the community

• Have strong written and verbal communication skills

• Consent to an extensive background investigation

• Be in good physical condition

• Maintain a favorable driving record

• Successfully meet all training requirements
