Diesel Mechanic - CES

As a Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III – CES), you’ll perform maintenance and complex repairs on customer equipment in a safe and professional manner. You’ll support customer service, develop skills, and could move into higher Service Technician or leadership roles. What you'll do: Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex customer‑owned equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed on a daily basis Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment to customers When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; maintain a clean and professional service vehicle Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment & parts Other duties assigned as needed Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background on various engines Must own tools applicable to position Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
