Certified Nurse Midwife Opportunity

Facility seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife. Practice currently consists of 2 OB GYNs and 2 nurse practitioners, a level 1 nursery, perinatal education programs and a collaborative nursing staff. Candidate will provide coverage for both inpatient and outpatient areas. Previous CNM experience or Labor and Delivery experience is preferred. Practice located on hospital campus. Collegial call coverage and support available. Highly competitive compensation based on experience. Community/Facility info: Centrally located in southwestern Pennsylvania. The County's population is about 89,000 and stable, with a concentration of about 23,000. Largest of the state-owned colleges at about 14,500 undergraduates, is the largest employer in the county. Hospital is second largest employer with about 1400 currently on the payroll. The community is well-known for its quality school system that is highly ranked in the state and has been nationally recognized. There are a great many activities available for children and adults alike. Outdoor sports include fishing, hunting, golfing, tennis, swimming, boating, hiking, and camping with many different kinds of opportunities. The university brings a large variety of cultural events to the community, and these will soon increase with the completion of a new arena within sight of the hospital.
