Center Department: Academics, & Student Services (Skilled Trades) Job Summary Provide classroom and lab instruction in competencies for welding and cutting processes in Oxy-Fuel Systems, Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc and Gas Metal Arc Welding. These duties include the evaluation & supervision of adults in custody within a state correctional facility, working collaboratively with faculty and staff and completing professional development requirements. Job Duties:
American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Educator (CWE) OR Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) AND 3 years related work experience OR
Kentucky Department of Transportation or industry equivalent welding certification AND 5 years related work experience. Preferred Qualifications:

- Provide online, classroom and lab instruction in competencies for welding and cutting processes in Oxy-Fuel Systems, Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc and Gas Metal Arc.
- These duties include the evaluation & supervision of adults in custody within a state correctional facility, working collaboratively with faculty and staff and completing professional development requirements.
- Professional Development will include a minimum two-week Kentucky Department of Corrections training course
- This position will work at the location of and with the population of the Northpoint Training Center, 710 Walter Reed Road, Burgin, KY.
American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Educator (CWE) OR Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) AND 3 years related work experience OR
Kentucky Department of Transportation or industry equivalent welding certification AND 5 years related work experience. Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong commitment to excellence in teaching
- Experience working with an incarcerated population
- Commitment to the mission of the College and the Prison Education Program
