About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years of Med Surg RN experience License: Current RN licensure in Michigan Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA Must-Have: - Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit. - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Description: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and their families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Candidates may be requested to float to a lockdown unit. Preferred experience includes telemetry. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
