Job Description\n Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Internal Job Description\n \n NEW REQUIRMENTS:\n - will consider Level 2 Trauma.\n -will consider 18+ months of experience.\n -first time travelers welcome.\n -AUTO OFFER with 7 days of PTO or less, holiday PTO must be approved by unit manager.\n **MUST HAVE LEVEL 1 TRAUMA EXP**.\n 50 MILE RADIUS RULE - NO LOCAL RATE - DL IS SOURCE OF TRUTH, PLEASE INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION.\n Medical Solutions Pre-Screens, if clinical recommends, sends to manager for approval to offer, no 2nd interview.\n Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance, traveler has 2 attempts.\n If failed, RN will be DNU within CS AZ and Sac Region.\n *Travel Teams must have their own vehicles.\n *must have natural hair color and no facial piercings.\n *men must clean shave for fit test.\n *pass fail exam on day 1 of orientation - details to follow.\n DAY 1 PASS/FAIL SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED.\n NyICU only has to do Foley catheter insertion.\n ED does Foley catheter insertion but does port-a-cath insertion instead of central line dressing change. This is for travelers going to Joseph main campus &/or St.\n Joseph Westgate campus.\n NOTE - SIMs lab is pass/fail & nurses have been termed during SIMs Lab for breaking sterile field.\n Those travelers that understand sterile field typically pass SIMs Lab skills (See separate notes for the specific checklist IF traveler asks for additional details).\n The hospital expects that every nurse is competent in these areas, especially maintaining sterile field, as these are nursing skills that are performed frequently.\n NOTE: if a candidate indicates that they are not competent in either of these areas, they are probably not a good fit.\n In addition to SIMs Lab, they will also go through lifts, restraints, & wound care, but these are just educational based since the equipment & policies can be different facility to facility.\n ***Must be able to Titrate drips, Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin Drips***.\n - Unit: Neuro Tele (5NNB and 7NNB).\n - # beds: 32.\n - Certs: BLS, ACLS.\n 2 years experience, neuro experience highly preferred.\n - Ratios: 1:4 ratio.\n - EMR: Cerner.\n WOWs.\n - Charge Nurse: Yes, take light patient assignment.\n - Nurse Aides: Day - 4, Night - 3.\n BS, VS, straight cath.\n - Weekend Requirement: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, weekends are Saturday and Sunday.\n - Holidays: based on unit coverage.\n - Scrub Color: Steel gray.\n - Tele: Central monitoring.\n Must be able to interpret EKG.\n - Vents: No.\n - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: No.\n - IV Team: SWAT RN available for difficult IV sticks.\n - RT 24/7: Yes.\n - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, central.\n - Shifts: 7 to 7.\n - Floating: first to float, Ms/Tele units, possibly Westgate or AZ General Laveen.\n - Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.\n - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Trached patients, CVA, TBI, Spinal surgery, encephopathy, ESRD, psych issues, brain tumor.\n - Additional Notes: Heparin, Amio, Cardizem - titrated.\n LOS average 4-5 days.\n Fast paced, high turn around unit.\n Bedside report\n About Malone Healthcare - Nursing\n \n With a commitmentto providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.As a leading healthcare staffing agency, Malone’s focus on compliance and integrity translates to a seamless experience for our team members and partner facilities.
