PRN Family Nurse Practitioner Overview: The Provider is responsible for delivering high‑quality health care within Fast Pace Health’s scope of services while achieving optimum patient satisfaction. The Provider must be able to work in a team‑oriented environment, be flexible to adapt to new technologies and protocols in a quickly evolving practice setting. They must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment and is responsible for providing outstanding patient service within the clinic and through various virtual communication channels, while maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities Ability to provide quality care in both clinic and telehealth and meet patient volume goals targeted for tele and in‑patient as determined. Lead clinic staff by modeling behaviors, actions and attitude (e.g. X‑Ray Technologists, Nurses, and Front Office Specialists) in delivering excellent patient care. Provide guidance to ensure quality professional services and patient satisfaction. Perform responsibilities included in the SCRIBE job description. Discuss and review patients’ medical history, symptoms, allergies, and current medications. Ask situation‑specific questions to formulate accurate diagnoses and provide guidance to ensure quality professional services and patient satisfaction. Actively engage with clinical leadership and elevate concerns to management as appropriate to ensure adherence to company values. Meet patient volume goals for tele and in‑patient as determined. Ensure accurate completion of patient charts in a timely manner and forward charts as appropriate on a daily basis. Implement clinical and telehealth protocols as outlined by CMO and supervising physicians. Analyze and interpret patients’ histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses. Deliver excellent patient care through in‑patient and virtual diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations with attention to patient‑centric care, safety, cost, and reliable information. Ensure activities are consistent with department expectations and comply with Federal and State regulations, including health information management issues such as HIPAA. Work efficiently in a fast‑paced, autonomous environment within both in‑patient clinic and virtual settings. Pursue queue of telehealth patients in a timely fashion to ensure proper follow‑up. Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests, responsibly prescribe medications and educate patients on continued treatment and care of acute and chronic conditions. Follow clinical practice guidelines by the Office of Medical Affairs. Attend mandatory monthly meetings with supervising physicians and E/M training. Perform responsibilities within standard NP protocols. Complete mandatory compliance training to meet and exceed quality of care standards. Adhere to the core values of teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, and friendliness. Recommend ideas within the clinic and to telehealth leadership to improve overall patient experience and care. Communicate regularly within the team to support excellent patient care. Welcome new employees on their first day and facilitate introductions, tours, and an overview of clinic processes. Assist new employees with learning activities and complete required training. Support new employee training by providing job shadowing, demonstration, and coaching opportunities. Maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees and promote a positive work atmosphere. Perform physical and cognitive duties as specified on the physical demands. Know and comply with company standards of operations. Promote a respectful culture of confidentiality for employees, employers, and business. Consult with patients through virtual communication channels. Have proven experience working as a telehealth clinician. Perform other duties as assigned by management. PRN employees are required to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month; full‑time employees are required to work 12‑hour shifts and every other weekend. Ancillary Provider Additional Responsibilities Responsible for on‑call periodically throughout the year. Provider Levels Level 1 – New graduate with up to 1 year of experience as a nurse practitioner. Level 2 – Nurse practitioner with over 1 year of experience and less than 5 years. Level 3 – Nurse practitioner with over 5 years of experience and less than 10 years. Level 4 – Nurse practitioner with over 10 years of experience. Education and Experience Requirements Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN). At least 1‑2 years of experience as a provider in a relevant practice such as urgent care, occupational medical facility, ER or trauma unit, or family medical practice. License and DEA must be active, in good standing, and verifiable with the proper regulatory agency. DEA required for all providers; if limited by state law, DEA must be obtained within 120 days of meeting minimum years of practice. Provider must be able to treat all ages and meet any credentialing requirements needed; DOT certification required for FT and PT providers within 120 days of employment.
