Health Care Aide

Substitute School Health AideSalt Creek School District 48 is seeking a substitute health office aide to address student health needs and assist the school nurse with efficient operation of the health office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Address routine and emergency health situations in the health office and school buildingAssess the health needs of students, administering first aid when necessaryMaintain health office suppliesAssist school nurse with screenings as neededMaintain required health records and student health dataAdminister medicationCheck AED daily and reports any malfunctionPerform general office duties such as word processing, operating office machines, handling telephone calls, filling staff requests, delivering messages and entering computer dataPerform other duties as assigned by the school nurse, principal, or administration$120.00/DayEligibility Requirements:CPR/AED and First Aid certifications requiredCNA, LPN, or Medical Assistant license preferred but not requiredAbility to obtain ELS-PARA (paraprofessional) license preferred but not requiredExperience in a school, childcare, or community health setting preferredApplication Process:Complete the district application form, available at 48 is an EEOC employer
