About Allegria Village

Allegria Village is a vibrant senior living community in Dearborn, Michigan, dedicated to providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming, comfortable environment for our residents. We are seeking a Lead Server to join our Dietary Services team and help ensure an outstanding dining experience for our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing residents.

Position Summary

The Lead Server plays an important role in ensuring our dining rooms are clean, organized, welcoming, and ready to provide excellent service to residents and guests. In addition to providing dining and table service, the Lead Server helps train and support new team members, assists with special events, and ensures food and beverages are handled safely and in accordance with sanitation and regulatory standards.

What You’ll Do

• Provide friendly, attentive dining and table service to residents and guests.

• Train and assist new servers to ensure they understand dining service standards and procedures.

• Maintain proper dining room setup and ensure dining areas are clean, organized, and ready for service.

• Monitor dining room cleanliness and readiness checklists and address issues as needed.

• Assist with special events and other community dining functions.

• Maintain appropriate tabletop and dining supply inventories.

• Ensure food and beverages are handled, stored, and served in accordance with proper sanitary procedures.

• Follow all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and community food service standards.

• Assist the Dietary Services team with maintaining a positive, professional, and resident-focused dining environment.

• Serve as a knowledgeable and supportive resource for other dining team members.

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma preferred; GED accepted.

• Minimum of one year of experience in fine dining, hospitality, food service, or full-service senior living preferred.

• Previous leadership or training experience is a plus.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving ability, and sound decision-making.

• Dependable, professional, and committed to providing excellent service.

• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, guests, and members of the Dietary Services team.
