Job Description:
Please ensure traveler is aware of the following: You are being submitted to a position in a commonly impacted area for hurricanes. The 2025 hurricane season will run from June 1 to Nov 30, but storms have been known to occur outside of that window. Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team" where there will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the storm passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each storm as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract to take a position with Ochsner Health, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if a storm were to occur. You should not apply during this hurricane window if you are not comfortable with the above.


Shift: 0800 - 1630. Standard procedure hours are 0800 - 1630, but earlier or later procedures may be required to meet the needs of the unit and ensure patients are cared for at optimal levels.


Call: Divided equally among team members, typically two nights/week and every other weekend, as all hours must be covered-including after hours, weekends, and holidays.


Weekends: Being on call from COB Friday to department opening Monday morning. On Call includes the expectation of arriving to the department within 30 minutes of notification.


Floating: IR and Cardiac Cath Lab work closely and assist each other as needed. If not needed in IR and required in the Cardiac Cath Lab, you may be asked to help.


Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and LA State License.


Experience: 2 years of relevant experience required; the unit will not accept first-time travelers.


Shift Type: Day, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
