Title: Early Intervention Service Provider

Qualifications: Kansas Teaching Certificate with appropriate Special Education endorsement or Kansas SLP license and ASHA Certificate of clinical competence, Kansas OT license, or Kansas PT license Reports To: Director of Special Education, Infant Toddler Services Coordinator Supervises:

BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE To provide early intervention services for families with children from birth to age 3 who have developmental delays or disabilities through evidence based (family centered, primary provider and teaming approach) practices, within their natural environment.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Provide early intervention and family service coordination through the following:

• Collaborate with parents and caregivers, providing coaching and evidence-based interventions for the child's development and learning.
• Utilize traditional and authentic assessments to promote child development
• Identify potential developmental delays, monitor progress, and develop individualized outcomes.
• Conduct routines-based interviews to identify the child's abilities and gather family information to develop participation-based outcomes for both the child and family
• Facilitate child learning and development using family-guided routines-based intervention practices, including intervention during family routine activities, promoting engagement, supporting caregiver confidence and competence, and using reflective practices.
• Engage in collaborative teamwork and capacity-building practices to provide quality family-centered services.
• Provide family service coordination and planning among team members, families, and caregivers, working together to plan and implement supports that meet their needs.
• Possess practitioner-level leadership skills to empower the professionals and families they serve, including seeking feedback, reflecting on practices, developing professional skills, and applying learning to achieve better outcomes for families and children
• Apply professional knowledge to identify materials and assistive technology that support the child's functioning and achieve goals.
• Complete the early intervention processes by writing high quality documentation, timely completion of paperwork, maintaining visits and adhering to early intervention policies, procedures, and code of ethics.
• Assist and attend community outreach and child find activities as requested by the Part C Coordinator
• Maintain communication, documentation, and other job-related tasks through mobile technology and systems provided.
• Adjust work duties and responsibilities daily to support the individual needs of the caseload, team, and paperwork requirements.
• Travel to provide Early Intervention Services in the natural environment (family homes, childcare settings, community settings, etc.)
• Attend staff meetings, in-services, professional development activities, and conferences as required by the Coordinator/district

Term of Employment: The Infant-Toddler Services program runs year-round. School Year contract in addition to required extended year days during the summer as determined by Part C Coordinator. Must be available for early evening appointments as needed. Salary Range: Determined by placement on teacher salary schedule. Evaluation Frequency: Job performance will be evaluated a minimum of 1 time per year.
