Operations Supervisor, Mid-Shift (Onsite)

Dallas Airfoil Repair Operations (DARO) is looking for an Operations Supervisor (Cell Leader M2) to oversee repair operations in Grand Prairie, TX. What You Will Do The role reports to the Operations Manager and supports 2nd and 3rd shift operations. Typical working hours are 1:00PM–11:00PM, Monday–Thursday (4×10‑hour schedule). Training may be required on the first shift for up to 3months. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through employee meetings, effective communication, and developing an efficient team responsible for engine assembly. Establish standards and expectations for work effort and performance for subordinates, and give constant feedback. Communicate with other department personnel and customers to ensure customer satisfaction, actively address issues, and engage the workforce in achieving production goals. Coach employees to improve performance when needed; maintain training, quality, and attendance records. Manage cell overtime and distribute it equitably among employees. Ensure department equipment is clean, properly maintained, records and labels are affixed, and uptime is optimized while meeting all safety requirements. Ensure all employees are fully trained in required aspects of Environmental Health & Safety. Maintain a world‑class safety culture, respond to all EHS requirements promptly, and fully involve cell in CORE continuous improvement initiatives. Utilize CORE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair. Ensure compliance with all Quality policies and procedures, control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet customer MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Qualifications You Must Have Advanced degree and at least 6months of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 4+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military/Technical Training and 6+ years of relevant industry experience. Qualifications We Prefer Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). Personnel management experience, particularly within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment. Proven ability to lead, mentor, coach, develop talent, and motivate teams to achieve business goals. Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings. Organizational and project management skills; PMP certification preferred. Aftermarket Aerospace and O & R (MRO) experience. Working knowledge of shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC, and RCCA). Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, MRP materials management, and MS Office Suite. Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers. What Is My Role Type? This is an onsite role. Employees must commute to and from the assigned site. Benefits Salary range is $68,900–$131,100USD.
